Kite clubs are a great way to meet avid kite flyers in your area. They are also a wonderful place to learn and improve your flying skills, as most experienced flyers are happy to pass along their knowledge. Some clubs are just a loose affiliation of kite flyers, while others are more formal structured groups. Many clubs attend kite festivals or put on special events. Smithsonian Kite Festival: Annual kiting event held on the National Mall in Washington, DC.
Newport Kite Festival: Held at Brenton Point State Park in Newport, RI.
