Box Kites

Box kites, also known as cellular kites, come in many different shapes and sizes. They are known for their stability and lifting capability. Lawrence Hargrave designed a box kite that lifted him into the air in 1894. His design was later improved on by Samuel Cody, whose winged box kite could lift men to heights of 1600 feet, and was used by the British War Office for observation.
